This collection of drawings investigates the fiction of identity through its performance in cerebral spaces that project and construct meaning. Death is our silent companion through life and these images are our shadows. This mortal awareness is our witness to childhood fantasies and adult realities. While these sentimental anatomical figures are absorbed with their own pre-constructed identities, they are still compelled to subvert conventional roles and relationships. They respond to the spatial illusions that compromise the underlying transactions between drawing and viewer. The execution of these drawings, for me, is a metaphor for codifying the complex and fragile structure of identity
